FACILITIES SUMMER ASSOCIATE (Temp)(Part-Time – 20 to 30 hours per week / flexible hours & days)   

The Temporary Summer Facilities Associate will be responsible for assisting the Maintenance Manager in all areas of grounds keeping needs within Cedar Ridge Ministries as directed.  His/her primary work will be to oversee the ground-keeping needs of Cedar Ridge grounds with support given by his/her manager and the maintenance associate when needed. 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities would include assisting with grass cutting, trimming, weed removal, mulching, rock removal, landscaping, and planting on agency grounds, and other areas as needed and assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must be at least 18 years of age, with a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  2. Must be self-motivated, capable of working alone, and possess the ability to keep focused. It would also be helpful to have some mechanical abilities and the ability to operate mowing and trimming equipment.

 

 

Facilities Assistant – Full-Time Position

This position is designed to provide assistance to the Facilities Department. This would include: drywall work; electrical, plumbing, woodworking, and mechanical work; supply pick-up and delivery; and assist with mowing, grounds keeping, and snow removal. This is a full-time (12 months 40 hours/week) position.

Job Qualifications:

In addition to the normal Cedar Ridge requirements the individual:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent – prefer vocational or specific job-related training.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, with a good driving record.
  • General knowledge and working ability in the following areas: Carpentry (finished and rough), plumbing, electrical, concrete work, drywall, painting, minor auto repair and maintenance, and grounds keeping and the physical ability to do this kind of work over a long period of time.
  • Must be a team player, willing to work under a supervisor and with peers and others in the agency in a cooperative manner to accomplish tasks.
  • Must affirm Judeo-Christian values. This affirmation includes an agreement with the Cedar Ridge statement of faith and behaviors consistent with traditional Biblical moral values:
    1. The employee handbook further states that employees who engage in open, notorious immorality, including, but not limited to, violence, dishonesty or slander, sexual activity outside of marriage, theft, or conduct illegal under applicable local, state, or federal law are subject to discipline up to and including termination of employment.

Special Education Middle/High School Math Teacher

(Full Time 10 Month Position) – Cedar Ridge School is in need of a Middle / High School Teacher.

This individual will complete and carry out individual and group instruction for Math Subjects. This would include a plan that utilizes appropriate materials and activities to address each student’s Individual Education Plan. It will provide oversight/supervision to the assigned teacher assistant(s) in your classroom.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. 21 years of age or older.
  1. Must have Maryland Teaching Certification in Special Education and have or be willing to acquire General Education math endorsement in appropriate grade levels (preferred). Or have a Bachelor’s Degree and be willing to take additional classes to receive certification.
  1. Demonstrate maturity level leadership abilities conducive to maintaining a controlled therapeutic classroom environment.
  1. The person in this position must have a broad academic base and be qualified in secondary math, or at least eligible to be qualified in math.
  1. Must be able to function in a team environment to successfully complete objectives.
  1. Must be able to maintain a high degree of loyalty, determination, and confidentiality.

Crisis/Teacher Assistant (Full Time 10 Month Position)

Cedar Ridge School is in need of a Crisis/Teacher Assistant that will assist the classroom teacher and treatment team in delivering individualized education services to students based on their IEP’s and established curriculum. In addition, the Assistant will assist in producing and maintaining student records of educational progress, treatment issues, and other related records; and will implement the School’s Behavior Management System, and assist with crisis intervention as needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 21 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma plus the appropriate level of post-high school education required by MSDE, OR passing score on ParaPro test.
  • Demonstrate abilities conducive to maintaining a controlled therapeutic classroom environment.
  • Have a broad academic base in appropriate grade level curriculum areas.
  • Must be able to function in a team environment to successfully complete objectives.
  • Must be able to maintain a high degree of loyalty, determination, and confidentiality.
  • Must accept and affirm a Judeo-Christian worldview in both personal and professional life. This affirmation includes agreement with the Cedar Ridge statement of faith, the personal practice of spiritual disciplines, and behaviors consistent with traditional moral values.
  • Must pass a detailed background investigation that includes:
    1. Passing a health screening which may include drug testing.
    2. Verification of Business and Personal References.
    3. Verification of Driver’s license with a good driving record.
    4. Police/FBI/Child Protective Services background investigations.

 

Clinical Coordinator

Department: Therapeutic Group Home

Supervised by: Clinical Supervisor

Status: Full Time – Exempt

Summary: The position requires the ability to act both as a primary care Mental Health Provider and a Clinical Coordinator. As a Mental Health Provider, the employee will be responsible for providing clinical services to Cedar Ridge clients. This may include but is not limited to, individual and group counseling, family counseling, and case management. This position includes responsibility for overall operation and management of the Therapeutic Group Home Program, consultation and collaboration with third-party providers, and other relevant activities as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provide individual and group counseling sessions as specified by the Clinical Supervisor, Maryland State Laws (COMAR) and other relevant licensing or regulatory authorities, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), and/or program requirements.
  2. Provide behavioral and mental health consultation to residential staff.
  3. Exhibit professional behavior as dictated by the Cedar Ridge Professional Code of Ethics.
  4. Monito and maintain Maryland provider license; report child abuse or neglect in accordance with organization policy, and understand/meet HIPAA standards for confidentiality and sharing of personal health information (PHI).
  5. Participate in and provide weekly supervision, working to ensure that clinical work is performed according to established quality standards and other duties as determined by programmatic need or Clinical Supervisor.
  6. Assist with the creation and implementation of treatment team models with staff by conducting team meetings and providing or arranging for team building activities as needed.
  7. Assist with the development of therapy goals and objectives for each resident; ensure that all clinical services are documented in accordance with governmental regulations as well as Cedar Ridge’s policies and procedures.
  8. Participate on the Therapeutic Group Home admissions team.
  9. Handle emergency situations either personally or through a delegated staff member.
  10. Participate in the on-call rotation with other designated staff.
  11. Participate and/or lead outings and other seasonal recreation and extracurricular opportunities in the community including, but not limited to, biking, hiking, boating, water skiing, swimming, and snow skiing.
  12. Interact with the community in order to assure a positive reputation for the program.
  13. Conduct workshops or address relevant groups in order to disseminate the program philosophy and techniques to other organizations or interested personnel.
  14. Other designated duties as specified by Clinical Supervisor. 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Qualified applicants must possess at a minimum a Masters of Professional Counseling Master of Social Work, be licensed to practice or have the ability to be licensed, and the ability to work independently in the state of Maryland.
  2. Must possess a demonstrated capacity to understand youth with severe emotional disturbance issues with a variety of diagnoses including intellectual disabilities and sex offenses.
  3. Must have demonstrated ability to work cooperatively as part of a team, and possess organizational abilities. Must be detail orientated with sufficient capability to organize and complete tasks and documentation in a timely and efficient manner within established timelines.
  4. Must accept and affirm a Judeo-Christian worldview in both personal and professional life. This affirmation includes an agreement with the Cedar Ridge Statement of Faith, the personal practice of spiritual disciplines, and behaviors consistent with traditional moral values.
